Thank you for all your help with my beardie. She is so, so beautiful. I love her so much. Do you know anywhere in the UK I can get a good sized home for her when she is older? x

I’m sorry, I wish I did. I live in Australia, so I’m not aware of any UK vivarium sellers. Did you visit the link I sent you? Someone there might know. I reblogged one of your posts with a heap of information, the link was with it. How is she settling in? :)

Advice on Bearded Dragon.

ohyeahtumbleryeahxo:

My baby dragon I’m getting Thursday will have a smaller vivarium because she’s a baby, but in a months time I’m buying a bigger one for her. Will this be big enough for the rest of her life?  http://www.petsathome.com/shop/oak-vivarium-36-x-18-x-18inch-by-monkfield-%28available-in-store-only%29-27987

That is too small for a fully grown Central. She’s gonna get real big real fast (fully grown they’re 2 ft long) and she will be very cramped in something that size. Recommended size for a fully grown dragon is at least 4ftx2x2. My dragon is currently in something 3ft by 1.5, but he’s just a little tyke still, so I’ll have to upgrade just like you :)

I wouldn’t recommend taking her with you in a car. She’ll already be suffering relocation stress, and for babies stress can be dangerous. However, if it’s non-negotiable, putting her in a box/container lined with towels and that has ventilation will reduce stress. Make sure she cannot get out, as I’ve heard of them escaping and running about the car. She should be fine for an hour without lights, they slow their bodies right down in cold temps, just like she’ll be doing overnight if it’s cold. Fingers crossed, she’ll sleep most of the way there. The darker it is, the more likely she is to sleep through it.

Oh, and I’d be cautious about sitting in the bath with her. All reptiles naturally carry salmonella, which is why you’re supposed to wash your hands like a maniac every time you hold them. Being in the bath with him is a good way to get yourself sick! Especially if she’s a bath pooper :/ I don’t even bathe my dragon in a bath. We have a special container that gets filled. That way when he poops we just throw the water out and it’s more hygienic for everyone involved.

http://www.beardeddragon.org/bjive/index.php has a great forum that you can learn a lot on. I’d recommend signing up. Even if you don’t go there to learn, it’s great to see other people’s beardies and hear their funny stories. There are people with a lot more knowledge than me! I’m on there all the time since I got my guy. Every day is a learning experience when you have reptiles!

This has become a very long post. Hopefully this has been helpful! You’re doing well :) I bet you’re excited for Thursday, huh?

Sif Concept Art from Thor.
See.
This is female armor done right. No cleavage window, no bare midriff. Only the arms are bare and it seems to be more for movement than aesthetics. And most important? No BOOB PLATES.

#and it’s still hot #so yes you can both have your cake and eat it

And even her heels are practical… I mean, if you’re going to wear heels into battle.

I would totes wear this.

I actually run better in thick heels than I do in flats, so long as the toe of the shoe is wide enough. I think I tend to run a bit heel-first, so having that extra thickness there adds a little more spring or something, so I approve of these shoes.

I can never not reblog this art. Also to chime in and say that while I hate the whole ~female superheros in heels~ genre default there are times when I don’t mind it. Sif’s are one of those because of the style  of them.
I’m also a person with high arches and flat are actively uncomfortable for me and I function much better when I have an inch or two of heel (also: arch supports! not just for old people) so I’m wont to give a pass if it looks like an actual functional heel.  I have a pair of massively heeled (and platform!) combat boots that I wear when on set because I can go in them longer than any other shoe I own. So if done right I tend to go with it.
Add in that she’s probably heeled due to height (Jaimie is already like 5’9” or so which is tall but also: giant Asgardians. Comics Sif is 6’2”). The final one is a bit shorter and is a decent block heel. Have a pic:

I could fight shit in that. (though I judge the curve in back, ideally that would be straighter and give more heel area.
that said comics Sif is almost always in flats and I tend to judge any artist who suddenly puts her in heels for no reason so…
